Case study:Emily’s Ark

The ‘pictures on the wall’ move up and down to draw attention to the featured products.

We developed an editable e-commerce website for Emily’s Ark, a Northumberland-based company which sells vintage style bears and kits. As the products are all designed and handmade using the highest quality sourced materials (such as alpaca mohair and cashmere), the website needed to reflect the company’s superior offering, whilst also placing the exquisite retro animals in a homely setting.

The website was designed to complement Emily’s Ark branding, using a customised version of one of our Siteroom web templates (‘e-store’). The improved functionality means that Emily can add content herself, keeping the website up to date with new product ranges and special offers, as well as making the most of the events system for trade shows and retailer shows. Emily can also take advantage of the simplified records system, which reduces paperwork and makes book-keeping much easier.

“Beyond our expectations”

Emily Pitkethly of Emily’s Ark said: “Collaborating with Siteroom on our new website has been an absolute pleasure. The team listened carefully to what we needed and took the time to fully understand the ethos and aesthetic of our business before beginning the design. They liaised with us closely through the entire site build constantly using our feedback to create a website that truly served our business and appealed to our customers.

“The end result has been beyond our expectations and shows our business in the professional and yet playful manner we had hoped for. The team gave us excellent training on using the site and are always on hand to answer any questions. I can unreservedly recommend Siteroom to any business big or small for their website needs; the impact their site has had on our business has been wonderful and we have enjoyed a fantastic reaction from our customers.”
